Teaching Tamazight in the Netherlands

There are no permanent courses in any amazigh variety in the Netherlands.Teachers and researchers, however, do occasionally provide classes in amazigh language and culture. During the Fall semester of 2003/2004, Mohamed El Ayoubi of the Utrecht University is giving an introductory course in Tarifit. For more information contct Mohamed El Ayoubi

The University of Leiden has also occasionally provided classes thanks to the researchers Prof.dr. Harry Stroomer, Dr. Maarten Kossmann, and Dr. Mena Lafkioui. At this moment there are no classes known to us. For more information on research and teaching regarding the Amazigh world, contact professor Harry Stroomer.

Tilburg University and the University of Nijmegen have also provided classes in Amazigh language and Culture for a number of years thanks to Dr. Abderrahman El Aissati and Dr. Yahya E-rramdani (at Tilburg Univesity).
